Howdy people.
So I guess lately I've been thinking quite a lot about how spoiled we are here in America, and I know most all of us aren't close to deserving any of it. especially not me. I complain about most everything. sometimes out loud, but mostly inside. like "aw man, I forgot my water glass and now I have to get up and squeeze through the wall and Dads chair to go get it." or "Do we really have to go out and do chores again?" In the great depression, people longed for chickens and cows to take care of.
just the other day I heard: "What? its gonna be a WEEK before my amazon package comes??? I need it tomorrow!" back in the 1800's, (depending on how far away) I bet most of the people were rejoicing that something would come through the pony express that soon.
have you thanked God for your eyesight today? how bout your sense of touch. I know I haven't.
You know, I REALLY don't like school. to me its torcher. but we really outta be more glad that we even get education. it would slow you way up in life if you didn't have much. didga thank God for that yet today?
it seems everywere I look here is spoiledness. All we can eat for food, cushions on our chairs so it don't make our backside sore, all kinds of entertainment to keep us busy such as television, (eccept we try not to do that so much) games, art, and plenty other stuffs.... and more food. ( which I happen to adore quite a lot)
what I meant for this post to do for you is..........
be more thankful.
Here is a picture of my hansome ( man looketh at the outward appearance, But Jesus looks at the heart) little brother during school this morning.
That's a great reminder! No, I don't think I did thank God for any of those things. Another thing God spoils us with is horses! ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been coming to that about school work too. I don't like it but really being able to read and write, do maths etc is so useful.
Thanks Rachel!
